About Us
Hatters Ice Hockey
The Hatters Ice Hockey Club is a charter member of the Suburban High School Hockey League (SHSHL) which was founded in the early 1970's. The mission of our program is to provide a fun, safe environment to develop the hockey skills of each player while promoting a strong sense of sportsmanship and pride in team and school.
Our Program
The Hatters Ice Hockey Club welcomes all players (boys and girls) regardless of skill level in grades 5 through 12 and fields teams at the Varsity (grades 9-12) and Middle School (grades 5-8) levels. Our teams are coached by an experienced and qualified group of coaches who are all USA Hockey Certified who promote the core values of Hatters Ice Hockey.
Season
The Varsity and Middle School seasons run roughly from September/October through February/March. Practices are Monday nights at Hatfield ice for both Varsity and Middle School teams and are a mix of full-ice and half-ice practices. Both teams will have roughly 20-25 practices during the season and play around 12-15 games each per season with potential playoffs.
We are always interested in welcoming our elementary grade future players to Middle School practices. Please email HattersIceHockey@yahoo.com for more information regarding practice only options for our future players.
Our home practice rink is Hatfield Ice and games are played at Bucks County Ice, Revolution Ice Gardens, Grundy and Hatfield. Varsity games are played on weeknights (usually Wednesday, Thursday or Friday) and Middle School games are played on Sunday nights (usually avoiding travel club games).
Costs
The Hatters Ice Hockey Club strives to keep costs reasonable and stable for our families. We rely on donations, fundraising and sponsorships to help keep the costs down for our club. Season fees for Varsity & Middle School can be found in the Hatters Financial Agreement in the Documents section. Varsity costs run around $1,300 per season and Middle School $950.
Additional costs for USA Hockey Membership and Home & Away Jerseys are mandatory for all players.
